WhatsApp selling

Sell with WhatsApp using Eomly checkout links

WhatsApp is where many conversations already happen — but chat alone is not a store. Use Eomly as the storefront and checkout, and use WhatsApp as the channel: share your store or payment link in the chat, then collect the order through secure Eomly pages.

The model that works today

You do not need full WhatsApp catalog automation to start selling in chat. The reliable pattern is:

  1. Publish products (or services) on your free Eomly storefront.
  2. When a customer messages you, send your store link, a product link, or a payment / invoice link.
  3. They check out on Eomly through licensed payment partners (card or mobile money where supported).
  4. The order appears in your seller dashboard like any other sale.

Same link works in Instagram DMs, SMS, email, or TikTok — WhatsApp is often the highest-intent channel, not the only one.

What you can send in chat

  • Full storefront URL — let buyers browse everything
  • Single product or service page — when they already know what they want
  • Invoice or payment link — for custom quotes and one-off sales
  • Booking link — for appointments and classes without back-and-forth on time slots

Why use a real storefront instead of only chat payments

Pure chat selling breaks when you get busy: wrong prices, lost screenshots, no inventory truth, and no clean order history. A hosted storefront gives you:

  • One source of truth for price, variants, and availability
  • Checkout that shows partner fees before the customer pays
  • Orders, fulfillments, and customer records in one dashboard
  • SEO pages so new buyers can find you outside WhatsApp too

What is still in private beta

Deep WhatsApp Business catalog sync and guided automated chat flows are in private beta. That means auto-pushing your full catalog into WhatsApp Commerce and running advanced bot-style flows is not the default path for every seller yet.

Until that is live for your account, storefront and checkout links are the supported way to sell — and they match how many high-performing social sellers already close deals: talk in chat, pay on a real checkout page.

Active storefront sellers can join the WhatsApp Sync waitlist from the seller dashboard when it is available for their store.

Practical setup checklist

  1. Open your free Eomly storefront and publish at least a few clear product or service pages.
  2. Save your store URL (and key product URLs) somewhere easy to paste on mobile.
  3. In WhatsApp Business profile / status / pinned message, point people to the store link.
  4. When quoting custom work, send an invoice or payment link instead of “pay me later” texts.
  5. Confirm the first few orders in the dashboard so fulfillment and messaging stay aligned.
